Job summary

TYLin Group in Rockaway, NJ is hiring a Resident Engineer to drive our highway and bridge projects in Central New Jersey and the Northeast. You will manage multiple projects, develop client relationships, and lead PMCM teams to deliver quality, on-time results.

Requires a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, PE or NICET IV, and proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar contracts with NJ agencies. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• PE or NICET IV certification preferred.
• Experience managing projects for NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, NJ Transit or PANYNJ preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven leadership and track record managing multi-million-dollar construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Resident Engineer on local highway and bridge projects.
• Coordinate closely with agency/owner, contractor, utilities and other stakeholders.
• Implement project management, construction engineering and inspection safety procedures.
• Follow QA/QC procedures.
• Identify and hire PMCM personnel; lead PMCM staff.
• Position the company for construction management contracts as a prime or major team member.
• Work with marketing to respond to RFPs and SOQs.
• Manage one or more construction management and construction inspection projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
