Job summary

TYLin's Rockaway office is seeking a Resident Engineer to drive our construction projects in Central New Jersey and the Northeast. You will manage multiple projects, lead PMCM teams, and build strong client relationships to deliver excellence on contracts.

Requirements include a Bachelor in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with a PE or NICET IV, plus proven experience with NJDOT, NJ Turnpike, NJ Transit or PANYNJ. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• PE or NICET IV.
• Experience managing projects for local agencies (NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, NJ Transit, PANYNJ).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven leadership abilities.
• Track record of managing multi-million-dollar construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Perform as Resident Engineer on local highway, bridge transportation projects.
• Coordinate with agency/owner, contractor, utilities and stakeholders.
• Implement PMCM project management, construction engineering and inspection safety procedures.
• Follow QA/QC procedures.
• Identify and hire PMCM personnel and lead staff.
• Position the company for construction management contracts as a prime or major component of a team.
• Collaborate with marketing staff to respond to RFPs and SOQs.
• Manage one or more construction management and construction inspection projects.
