Job summary

TYLin in New Jersey is seeking a Construction Engineer to work on highway and structural projects. The role involves contract documentation, field measurements, and daily inspections for project progress under the Construction Management team in NJ.

The ideal candidate brings NICET or EIT credentials with 2+ years of bridge/highway experience and familiarity with MPT and high-speed roadways. Strong communication and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• NICET Transportation Engineering Technician (Construction) Level II or higher with 2+ years bridge/highway experience.
• Engineer-in-Training with 2+ years bridge/highway experience.
• Experience on NJDOT/NJ Transit/NYS DOT or similar agency preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proficient with MS Word, Excel and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform contract documentation duties, including field measurements and daily inspection reports.
• Coordinate activities with onsite inspectors and inform Resident Engineer of progress and issues.
• Provide technical supervision and assistance to Resident Engineer.
• Observe nonconformance and manage change events; perform additional duties as assigned.
