Job summary

LiRo-Hill seeks a Resident Engineer to act as on-site representative for transportation projects in New Jersey. You will oversee daily construction activities, enforce safety and quality standards, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant delivery.

The ideal candidate holds a NJ PE, NJDOT experience, and a Civil Engineering or related degree, with 7+ years in supervision of large-scale projects. Procore, Primavera, and MS Project proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• NJ Professional Engineer license is required.
• NJDOT experience is required.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Mgmt or related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as the client's on-site representative during construction.
• Monitor daily construction activities for QA/QC and compliance with specs and codes.
• Coordinate with design engineers, contractors, inspectors, and staff.
• Conduct site inspections and lead field meetings with stakeholders.
• Review and approve submittals, RFIs, change orders, and progress payments.
• Maintain daily reports, logs, as-builts, photos, and correspondence.
• Identify and mitigate risks; enforce safety policies and on-site compliance.
• Participate in meetings and prepare status reports for senior management.
• Ensure environmental, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
