Overview

Hill International is seeking a Resident Engineer in Seattle, Washington.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct RE staff (CMC/DBPM) in performance of tasks as described in the client\'s construction manual and/or other documents.
  • Assure and document training that all CMC/DBPM staff understand and meet the subject contract requirements.
  • Act as the focal point for all correspondence received from and sent to the subject project\'s contractor.
  • Respond to the subject project\'s contractor correspondence with assistance from staff.
  • Conduct all weekly construction progress meetings and other project related meetings.
  • Assign CMC/DBPM inspectors to cover the work of the subject project\'s contractors when they are working on contract work.
  • Assure inspector performance and documentation of CMC inspectors.
  • Monitor subject project contractor\'s compliance with its own safety programs and ensure that CMC/DBPM complies with the safety policies.
  • Identify potential change issues, develop and track change notices, change orders, negotiate changes as described in the construction manual.
  • Review, comment, and approve or disapprove inspector IDR\'s, contractor progress payments, contractor construction schedules, NCR\'s, and contractor safety and security certification submittals.
  • Complete other client required contract close out procedures including the transition from construction to operations forms.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $185,000 - $240,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicant\'s qualifications, education, experience and work location.
