Job summary

Hill International Inc. seeks a Vice President in Seattle, Washington to lead, coordinate and manage all aspects of large capital programs.

You will mentor project managers, oversee consultants and ensure alignment with federal, state and local requirements, while maintaining clear reporting to leadership. The role demands 15+ years of program management experience, excellent written and verbal communication, and strong proficiency with MS Office tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or Architecture preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience as a Program Manager.
  • Strong communication with executives, city staff, and transit constituencies.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools and ability to write technically and clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination of all program scope and budget.
  • Mentor and guide project managers and teams.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and standards.
  • Prepare monthly leadership reports and communicate milestones and issues.
  • Oversee consultants and contractors and ensure effective collaboration.

Job description

Hill International is seeking a Vice President in Seattle, Washington

  • Responsible for leading, coordinating all aspects of program
  • Overall responsibility for managing established scope and budget for projects assuring these assigned project managers and guided and mentored throughout the project
  • Ensures communication between members of a multi-disciplinary project management teams both client and project staff
  • Oversees consultants and contractors involved in capital projects and facilitates strong communication and coordination between these entities
  • Communicates and coordinates project status with staff from affected federal, state, regional and local agencies
  • Regularly communicates project status, milestones and issues with leadership
  • Develops and oversees regular preparation of project status reports, including monthly reports for leadership
  • Ensures project compliance with all federal, state and local laws, regulations, codes and standards
  • First level lead for all consultant and sub-consultant team
  • Responsible for development of staffing plans related to contract
  • Bachelors of Science in Construction Management, Project Management, or Architecture preferred
  • 15+ years of experience as a Program Manager
  • Organizing heavy and complex workloads, establish and adjust priorities, and accomplish objectives within established scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with executive managers, city staff representation, and transit constituencies
  • Using computers and related software applications; intermediate to advanced computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required
  • Must possess technical and procedural writing skills as well as excellent verbal and presentation skills

The salary range for this position is $270,000-$300,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
