Job summary

Coterie Senior Living – Hudson Yards is seeking a Resident Engagement Program Instructor to lead daily activities and foster a connected community for AL/IL residents. You will deliver engaging programs and collaborate with the Resident Engagement Director and specialists.

The role requires a background in wellness or related fields, strong communication, and ability to operate common office and AV tech. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or 4‑year college degree; or 1–3 years related experience.
• Must be fully vaccinated and provide vaccination record.
• Expertise in wellness, fitness, arts & humanities, or music therapy.
• ACSM certification preferred.
• Training/experience with geriatric individuals.
• Required certifications per state regulations.
• Strong communication skills; able to present to individuals and groups.
• Tech proficiency: Word, Excel, email, iPad/tablets, AV systems.
• Valid driver’s license; driving may be required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/evenings/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead Community Programming: plan and schedule events; engage residents; evaluate programs.
• Support Residents Upon Move-In: greet new residents, complete surveys, decorate community.
• Memory Care Duties: coordinate with Memory Care team; capture Life Story information.
• Other Duties: may obtain third‑party certifications; may drive company vehicle; perform other duties.
