Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living in Canton is seeking a Resident Engagement Coordinator/Activity Director to organize and drive engaging programs for residents. The role collaborates with the community leadership team to plan monthly calendars and coordinate events that align with residents' interests, both inside and outside the community.

Strong emphasis on program development and community partnerships, with potential driving responsibilities and a focus on enriching resident life.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of direct experience coordinating, planning, and executing programs.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops a monthly calendar of resident activities in partnership with residents.
• Collaborates with community leadership to plan, coordinate, and execute special events (holiday, family, educational, and marketing events).
• Plans and schedules meaningful resident engagement opportunities outside the community, including driving a community vehicle.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Bachelor's Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or related field
