Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Dietary Aide in Midland, MI to maintain sanitary food service areas and assist in meal preparation for residents and staff. You will plate food according to menus, follow recipes, monitor temperatures, and help stock and clean the kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) or technical school.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage meal service for 20 residents.
• Some food service work experience required.
• Great communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Handle, transport and plate food for residents, guests and employees.
• Plate food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed and stock station for next shift.
• Ensures that sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Ensures freshness, cooking status and proper temperature of all food being served.
• Maintain all daily logs, postings and documentations required for meal services.
