Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Summerville, SC seeks a courteous Server to deliver resident and guest meals, assist with menu orders, beverage service, and dining room cleanup. You will support tray service and uphold confidentiality and respectful interactions with residents and staff.

This role requires the ability to read simple instructions, stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects.
• Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three (3) hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet.
• Must be organized and willing to work well with other team members.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents when placing orders from the menu.
• Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea).
• Assists with tray service.
• Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor.
• Interacts in a polite manner with residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors.
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information.
• Sets up and maintains dining room and kitchen areas.
