Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Culinary Aide to assist with preparing and serving meals for residents, staff, and events. You will follow menus, use safe food-handling practices, and ensure meals are plated attractively and served warm.

You will work varied shifts in a long-term care setting, maintain a clean kitchen, and support a collaborative team while upholding health standards and resident dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
• Experience in food service is desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu.
• Prepares and/or portions food using proper food handling and food safety techniques.
• Ensures that food is served in an attractive, appetizing manner.
• Utilizes standardized recipes to prepare menu items.
• Ensures meals and snacks are delivered to designated areas according to schedules.
• Maintains proper temperatures during preparation and service and records temperatures.
