Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living is seeking a Dining Aide to deliver prompt, courteous meal service and support in a warm senior living setting.

You will read coded menu orders, portion meals to diet lists, relay orders to the kitchen, and keep dining areas tidy and welcoming for residents and visitors. The role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and teamwork to ensure residents’ dining experiences are positive.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and understand English.
• Maintains required food handler's card and health requirements.
• Keeps a clean, safe dining environment for residents and staff.
• Communicates positively with residents, families and coworkers.
• Shows compassion and interest in working with seniors.
• Can work a flexible schedule, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous meal service to residents.
• Read production orders on menu cards to prepare tray items.
• Place foods on trays according to diet lists and relay orders to kitchen.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required.
• Washes dishes and resets work areas as needed.
• Assist residents to dining area if required and maintain station.
