Job summary

Distinctive Living is seeking a Cook to support the Restaurant and Hospitality Department. The role ensures high-quality meals and service, adheres to dietary requirements, and maintains food safety standards.

The Cook will work under the Director of Restaurant and Hospitality, with responsibilities including menu adherence, kitchen cleanliness, and assisting with staff training. This is a day-to-day kitchen position focused on resident satisfaction and safe dining.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in food service.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality with planning, directing, and coaching in the Food Service Department.
• Follows the Menu Program and ensures compliance with special diets.
• Maintains safe food handling practices and proper food temperatures.
• Ensures a clean, organized kitchen and safe work environment.
• Interacts with residents to heighten satisfaction during meals.
• Assists with staff training and performance evaluations.
