Harmony Senior Services in Elkhart, Indiana is seeking a Cook to prepare meals per approved menus, supervise dietary staff when the Dining Services Director is absent, and ensure kitchen safety and cleanliness. You will monitor temperatures, portion sizes, and help train new dietary staff.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following dietary requests for residents. Flex schedules, including evenings and weekends, are common in this environment.

Qualifications

• Must have ServSafe certification or be willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Experience in dining services.
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations.

Responsabilités

• Prepare meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen area at all times.
• Record and monitor temperatures; temperatures logged twice daily.
• Substitute menu items with approval of Dining Services Director when items unavailable.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of leadership.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
