Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Resident Chef to lead a culinary team, teach and host in-store cooking classes, and elevate the customer experience. You will drive sales, stay current on products, and ensure top-notch service across kitchen and retail spaces.

The role requires strong leadership, kitchen management experience, and a passion for teaching and community engagement within a retail environment. Flexible scheduling and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Culinary degree strongly preferred; we may consider equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years’ experience as a culinary instructor.
• 3-4 years of progressively responsible kitchen management experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and motivating high performing sales teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail systems preferred.
