Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Resident Chef to lead high-performing culinary teams and inspire customers through engaging classes in-store. You will guide cooking sessions, coach staff, and ensure exceptional hands-on experiences that align with our brand standards.

You will oversee culinary programming, manage class schedules, monitor food safety, and partner with store leadership to drive guest engagement and sales while delivering consistent, memorable experiences for our guests.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older.
• Culinary degree strongly preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–2 years’ experience as a culinary instructor.
• 3–4 years of progressive kitchen management experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and motivating high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail systems.

• Recruit, mentor and retain a high-performing team.
• Lead, coach, and inspire associates to exceed performance expectations.
• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and create memorable cooking class experiences.
• Oversee culinary programming, scheduling, and food safety compliance.
• Drive sales growth and analyze KPIs to optimize store performance.
• Ensure operations adhere to safety, inventory, and SOP standards.
