Job summary

Aperion Care is seeking a Cook responsible for food preparation in accordance with applicable standards and our policies. You will work under the Dietitian/Director of Food Services to ensure quality meals are provided consistently.

Key duties include reviewing menus, assisting with policies and menus, and coordinating with other departments. The role requires reading and speaking English and a willingness to work with residents and staff in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• One year dietary/food experience preferred but not required.
• Must have State Food Service Sanitation certification.
• Must be able to read, speak and write English clearly.
• Must function independently with flexibility and integrity in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food.
• Assist in developing and coordinating department policies and food service manuals.
• Interpret policies and procedures to residents, visitors, family and staff as needed.
• Assist in planning diet menus as prescribed by the attending physician.
• Coordinate food services with other departments as necessary.
• Work with the facility’s dietitian and implement changes as required.
• Ensure all food service procedures follow established policies.
