Job summary

Trilogy in the United States is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare fresh scratch-made meals for residents in a long-term care setting. You will follow planned menus, dietary guidelines, and safety standards while delivering a positive dining experience.

The role includes assisting with inventory, storing supplies properly, supervising staff in the manager’s absence, and maintaining clean, organized kitchen areas to ensure quality service for residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
• 1–2 years similar cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh scratch-made meals for residents according to planned menus and dietary guidelines.
• Assist the Food Service Manager with inventory control and ordering supplies.
• Properly store food and kitchen supplies to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
• Supervise and support Dietary staff when the Food Service Manager is unavailable.
• Set up breakfast bars, steam tables, and other meal service stations.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas and ensure all kitchen cleaning tasks are completed.
• Prepare and stock snacks and standard pantry items for resident areas.
• Utilize technology and computerized systems to efficiently and safely create a great dining experience for our residents and families.
