Job summary

Great Lakes Management Co. is hiring a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care, both physical and emotional, per each resident’s service agreement. You will communicate with residents, their families, and the case manager about changes in condition and care plans.

The role includes assisting in dining, participating in activities, and offering support to help residents reach their highest level of independence.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in the service agreement.
• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the service agreement.
• Observe clients and report changes in condition to the case manager.
• Engage with residents to provide reassurance and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete daily documentation and schedules.
