Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Wisconsin seeks a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents in a long-term care setting. You will assist with ADLs, support dining activities, and participate in outings as part of a compassionate care team.

Communicate with residents, their families, and the case manager about changes in condition, while maintaining thorough daily documentation and adherence to individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living preferred.
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in their service agreement.
• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Observe residents and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection.
• Complete daily documentation and care scheduling.
