Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Grand Rapids, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and support to residents in a long-term care setting. You will assist with ADLs, communicate with residents and families, and coordinate with the case manager as needed, while maintaining a compassionate, respectful environment.

Responsibilities include supporting residents in dining and activities, documenting care, and helping ensure safety and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the casemanager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
