Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Valid NYS Driver's License throughout employment.
• One year experience working with the developmentally disabled.
• AMAP certified required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills as well as good organizational and administrative skills required.
• Supervision and training of Direct Support Professionals experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager with the supervision and training of Direct Support Professionals to ensure ongoing support and quality of life for individuals.
• Assist with the training of new employees to ensure adequate staffing.
• Maintain weekly staff schedules by assigning shifts based on availability and residents' needs.
• Maintain records of staff attendance, performance, and supervisory sessions.
• Verify that treatment plan documentation is complete daily.
• Assist with residents' banking and budgeting review.
• Coordinate transportation for residents to medical appointments and communicate with providers.
• Collaborate with site RN, physicians and pharmacies regarding current medical status.
• Oversee housekeeping and upkeep by assigning tasks to staff to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Perform Direct Support Professional duties as needed.
• Extra duties as assigned by supervisor.
