Upstate Caring Partners in Central New York seeks a Senior Direct Support Professional (DSP) to supervise operations in a small residential setting, guiding a team of caregivers to deliver high-quality supportive services. You will monitor daily activities, maintain records, and ensure a safe living environment for residents.

The role emphasizes mentorship, orientation, and training of new staff, with collaboration on treatment planning and regulatory compliance to support residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AAS in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Minimum one-year experience in a direct support role with individuals with developmental disability.
• Travel is required; must have a valid New York State driverB2s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shift operations in a residence with 12 or fewer residents.
• Mentor staff and assist with on-site orientation and training.
• Ensure implementation of goals and behavior plans; document IPP.
• Monitor safety and well-being; report issues as necessary.
• Advise nurses on medical/dietary concerns and dispense medication if certified.
• Participate in treatment team activities and transport residents for appointments.
