Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities, including medication administration under nursing supervision. Documentation in EMAR/MAR and coordination with the care team are essential.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of the Medication Aide Course, and current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech license from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assist residents with daily living activities.
• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Complete medication cart audits and maintain the medication cart.
• Document medication administration in EMAR/MAR and report needs to HCD.
• Assist in planning and conducting resident activity programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining room and activities.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Attend and complete required in-services and staff meetings.
