Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living in Indiana is seeking a Resident Care Manager to oversee resident care programs and supervise the care staff to ensure safety, quality, and resident satisfaction. You will develop individualized care plans and mentor staff under the Director of Nursing.

This role emphasizes collaboration with residents, families, and teams, driving dementia care best practices, scheduling, training, and ongoing performance feedback to maintain dignity and independence for residents.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• CNA or CMT certification preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop resident-directed programming and individualized service plans.
• Assess residents’ needs at move-in and integrate goals into ISP.
• Coordinate orientation and updates to residents’ ISPs; collaborate with families.
• Provide leadership and education to care staff and families on care plans and dementia care.
• Mentor staff and volunteers to deliver care training and ensure programs are implemented.
• Schedule care staff and ensure adequate coverage and training.
• Conduct staff orientation, mentorship, and ongoing training.
• Promote resident wellbeing and independence; ensure high-quality care across levels.
• Communicate effectively with residents’ families and document care activities.
• Create and manage department schedule to ensure coverage and budget targets.
