Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Director (RN) to serve as the clinical leader of the community, overseeing health, wellness, and care coordination to ensure safe, high-quality, resident-centered services. The RCD drives clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and team performance while supporting Sunrise’s mission and care standards.

The role requires leading the nursing team, overseeing ISPs, QA/QI initiatives, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• Experience leading clinical teams in a senior living or long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of CLIA and infection control.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for resident care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the nursing team and all care programs.
• Conduct resident assessments and oversee ISP development.
• Monitor condition changes and coordinate with physicians and clinicians.
• Oversee medication management and infection control programs.
• Serve as CLIA and Infection Control leader as applicable.
• Drive QAPI initiatives and quality improvement.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state nursing regulations.
• Recruit, hire, and manage clinical staff performance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling and departmental budget.
• Partner with Sales to assess move-in appropriateness.
