Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Director (RN) to lead clinical operations, oversee health and care coordination, and ensure high-quality resident-centered services. You will drive clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and team performance in a community setting.

The role involves managing the nursing team, conducting assessments, coordinating ISP, and leading QA/QI initiatives to sustain Sunrise's care standards.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing
• Experience leading clinical teams in senior living or similar setting
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards

Resident Care Director (RCD)

The Resident Care Director (RCD) serves as the clinical leader for the community, overseeing health, wellness, and care coordination to ensure safe, high-quality, resident-centered services. This role drives clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and team performance while supporting Sunrise's mission and care standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and manage the nursing team and all care programs
• Conduct resident assessments and oversee Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
• Monitor changes in condition and coordinate with physicians and clinical partners
• Oversee medication management and infection control programs
• Serve as CLIA and Infection Control leader as applicable
• Drive Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
• Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial and nursing regulations
• Recruit, hire, train and performance manage clinical team members
• Manage staffing, scheduling and department budget
• Partner with Sales to assess move-in appropriateness

In addition to base compensation, Sunrise may offer discretionary and/or non-discretionary bonuses.
