Commonwealth Senior Living at Haddam is seeking an Assistant Resident Care Director to support the Resident Care Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating the Resident Care department for high-quality resident care.

The ARCD will lead direct care teams, administer medications per orders, and ensure compliance with nursing practice acts and state regulations. Weekend/evening flexibility and a valid nursing license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state-approved school of practical nursing or current active state certification in medication administration.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably.
• Experience administering medications and in geriatric, psychiatric, or rehabilitation nursing.
• CPR and first aid certification.

Responsabilités

• Plan, implement, and evaluate the Resident Care department with the RCD.
• Provide direct resident care under the RCD direction.
• Lead and supervise direct care associates and ensure staffing per policy and budget.
• Administer and document medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Communicate with residents, families, and other departments to ensure quality care.
