Job summary

The Assistant Resident Care Director (ARCD) at Commonwealth Senior Living in Haddam, CT, supports the Resident Care Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care to ensure quality and experience. This role applies nursing process, coordinates with teams, and acts as a Culture Ambassador while maintaining regulatory compliance and compassionate care for cognitively impaired residents.

Candidates should have nursing qualification, leadership ability, weekend/evening

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state-approved school of practical nursing or has a current active state certification in medication administration.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in geriatric, psychiatric, or rehabilitation settings.
• Experience administering medications and supervising nursing staff.
• Certified in CPR and first aid.
• Willing to become trained/certified in state assessments and service plans as required by licensing.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours as needed for resident care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain liaison with residents, families, and support departments to plan resident care needs.
• Ensure services comply with Federal and State resident care policies and regulations.
• Deliver direct resident care and supervise direct care staff while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Communicate changes in residents' condition to the Resident Care Director promptly.
• Assist with and manage departmental scheduling to ensure adequate staffing per budget and policy.
• Complete resident care assessments and individualized care plans per policy and licensing.
