Job summary

Chelsea Jewish Lifecare in Peabody, MA is seeking a Cook for the Brudnick Center for Living. The role runs full-time from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a pay range of $18.00–$23.00 per hour, based on experience.

You will prepare and cook meals per planned menus and therapeutic diets, review menus, ensure ingredients are available, maintain clean storage, and follow safety and sanitation standards. Collaborate with dietitians and CNAs to implement dietary recommendations and support quality resident

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1+ year experience as a Cook in a commercial setting.
• Prior experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to function independently and as a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• English fluency (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, therapeutic diet requirements, and approved food safety and sanitation standards, including alternative meal selections when needed.
• Review menus before food preparation, ensure ingredients and supplies are available for upcoming meals, and help maintain a clean, organized food storage area.
• Follow all safety regulations, infection control practices, and sanitary procedures throughout food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with the dietitian and interdisciplinary team, including CNAs, to implement dietary recommendations and support quality resident care.
