Job summary

Saint Cloud VA Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support residents in the Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program. The role involves safe physical and emotional care, assisting with daily interventions and helping Veterans work toward greater self-care in a therapeutic environment.

Applicants must meet basic VA requirements and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Basic requirements include US citizenship or eligible to work, English language proficiency, and ability to obtain VA qualification standards.
• Six months of general experience or an equivalent education path meets entry requirements.
• NAs may need completion of an approved training program or grandfathering provisions as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care following established procedures and policies.
• Collect and document patient data, including vital signs and specimens.
• Observe physical and emotional status and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Maintain clean, organized clinical areas and restock supplies.
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and team members.
