Job summary

The Nursing Assistant position is located within the VA Community Living Center at the Saint Cloud VA Medical Center in Saint Cloud, MN, where Veterans receive nursing home level care including help with activities of daily living as well as skilled nursing and medical care.

The Nursing Assistant delivers safe, basic physical and emotional care to residents with simple to complex needs while developing technical skills under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of general experience or education above high school with courses related to NA
• Completion of an intensive, occupation-related training course of study of less than one year as a NA may meet the experience requirements
• To qualify at GS-4, experience in nursing care or related medical field is required and ability to perform basic and intermediate treatments

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, basic physical and emotional care to residents
