Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities in Tyler, TX, seeks a Resident Assistant to provide basic care and assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, dressing, and meal services.

You will support the nursing department, coordinate with staff and families, and contribute to residents’ physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being in a compassionate, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant depending on state regulations.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care to residents and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, and meal services.
• Collaborate with nursing and other departments to support resident well‑being.
