Job summary

Brio Living Services seeks a compassionate Resident Care Assistant for the 1st shift in Grand Rapids, MI. This part-time role (21 hours/week) covers assisted living with memory care support, 6am-2:15pm, weekdays and every other weekend.

Expect hand-on care, mealtime assistance, mobility support, and prompt response to call lights in a warm, home-like environment. Compensation ranges from $17.51 to $19.64 per hour with weekend premiums.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous experience in a caregiver role, preferred.
• Experience with ADLs, preferred.
• Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Previous working knowledge of EMAR system, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Hands-On Care - Assist with personal care (ADLS) like bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support Mealtime - Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for good health.
• Keep Things Moving - Support mobility, including turning, positioning, and safe transfers.
• Perform Vital Checks - Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
• Maintain Comfort & Care - Keep rooms tidy, cozy, and well-stocked with essentials.
• Provide Responsive Support - Answer call lights quickly and respond with kindness and compassion.
• Monitor with Watchful Eyes - Report any changes in conditions to the leadership ASAP.
• Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism - Maintain confidentiality while delivering top-notch care.
