Job summary

Ruth's House, operated by JGS, is seeking a Resident Care Assistant to support residents with daily living activities and basic care under the supervision of licensed nurses. The role emphasizes dignity, safety, and engagement in meaningful daily activities.

Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour based on experience, with Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN options. The environment emphasizes employee appreciation and a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Must have a Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the MA state registry.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Provide basic patient care under the direction of licensed nurses, including repositioning and assisting with mobility to prevent falls.
• Support residents' quality of life by fostering a positive, respectful environment and encouraging engagement in daily activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment by following infection control protocols and responding to call lights.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while promoting dignity and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff promptly.
• Provide basic patient care under the direction of licensed nurses, including repositioning, transferring, and assisting with mobility to prevent falls and pressure injuries.
• Support residents' quality of life by fostering a positive, respectful environment and encouraging engagement in meaningful daily activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment by following infection control protocols, responding to call lights, and ensuring residents' comfort and safety throughout the shift.
