Job summary

Cohen Florence Estates in Chelsea, MA is seeking a Resident Care Assistant to provide compassionate, patient‑centered care overnight. The role offers $19.00–$21.00 per hour, PRN schedule from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and the chance to positively impact residents' daily lives.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding) while promoting dignity.
• Monitor vital signs, intake/output, and report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Provide basic patient care under licensed nurses, including mobility and repositioning.
• Support quality of life by fostering a positive environment and meaningful activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe setting following infection control protocols and respond to call lights.

Delivering Solutions that Matter:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while promoting dignity and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff promptly.
• Provide basic patient care under the direction of licensed nurses, including repositioning, transferring, and assisting with mobility to prevent falls and pressure injuries.
• Support residents' quality of life by fostering a positive, respectful environment and encouraging engagement in meaningful daily activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment by following infection control protocols, responding to call lights, and ensuring residents' comfort and safety throughout the shift.

Qualifications for Success:

• Must have a current MA CNA certification or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification
• Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written
