Job summary

Deutsches Altenheim is seeking a Resident Care Assistant to join their compassionate team at German Centre – Edelweiss Village in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will assist residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence, and maintain a clean and safe environment.

The role offers a competitive pay of $18.00 - $20.00/hour, part-time and full-time opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Certification in good standing with the MA state registry as an HHA or CNA.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

Resident Care Assistant – HHA/CNA | German Centre – Edelweiss Village
$18.00 - $20.00/hour, based on experience
Full-Time | Part-Time | PRN

Delivering Solutions that Matter:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while promoting dignity and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff promptly.
• Provide basic patient care under the direction of licensed nurses, including repositioning, transferring, and assisting with mobility to prevent falls and pressure injuries.
• Support residents' quality of life by fostering a positive, respectful environment and encouraging engagement in meaningful daily activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment by following infection control protocols, responding to call lights, and ensuring residents' comfort and safety throughout the shift.

Qualifications for Success:

• Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification or Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the MA state registry.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
