Eisenhower Center in Shelby Township, MI is hiring a Resident Care Aide to provide supervision and direct care to residents, assist with ADLs, transport to appointments, and support independence. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and community engagement.

Ideal candidates have a caregiving background, healthcare experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to follow plans and accept feedback. Background checks are required.

Qualifications

• A minimum education of high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation.
• Previous experience in healthcare field.
• Experience with providing direct care to individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to pass background checks as required by regulatory agencies.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently and demonstrate patience and empathy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide supervision to Eisenhower residents including transporting to appointments and assisting with ADL’s.
• Redirecting negative behaviors and maintaining a safe environment for clients.
• Assisting individuals with disabilities in acquiring, retaining, and improving skills.
• Promoting independence, inclusion and community engagement.
• Carrying out intervention plans and strategies directed by clinical staff.
