Job summary

Eisenhower Center in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking Direct Care Workers to supervise residents, transport to appointments, assist with ADLs, redirect challenging behaviors, and support daily living skills. You will implement intervention plans under clinical staff and promote independence, inclusion and community engagement.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver license, healthcare experience, and the ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to Eisenhower residents including transporting to appointments and assisting with ADLs.
• Redirect negative behaviors and maintain a safe, clean environment for clients.
• Carry out intervention plans and strategies directed by clinical staff (behavior, speech, case management, counseling, OT/PT).
• Engage with residents to promote independence, inclusion and community engagement.
• Maintain daily progress notes and unit documentation.
