Qualifications

• Minimum education of high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver License and reliable transportation.
• Experience in healthcare field.
• Experience with providing direct care to individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to pass background checks as required by regulatory agencies
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently and demonstrate patience and empathy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of CMH/TBI residents and behavioral redirection.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents and transport to appointments.
• Assist with activities of daily living and redirect challenging behaviors.
• Maintain a safe, clean living environment.
• Help residents develop daily living and social skills.
• Implement intervention plans under clinical staff (i.e., behavioral, speech, counseling).
• Document progress notes and daily activities.
