Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant to support memory-impaired residents in daily activities, with a focus on dignity and independence. The role requires compassion for the elderly and relevant caregiving certification when required by law, with opportunities for growth within a leading memory-care provider.

Qualifications

• One year caregiving experience preferred
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required

Responsibilities

• Assist memory-impaired residents with bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining dignity and independence
• Ensure compliance with residents’ rights regulations
• Maintain and document accurate care records
• Report changes in residents' condition to the supervisor promptly
• Encourage residents to participate in community activities

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience.

Shift differential also available for Evenings, Nights and Weekend Shifts

Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor: evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law
• One year working in a care giving capacity preferred
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required
