Peregrine Senior Living in the greater Albany, NY region is seeking a Resident Care Aide on a per diem basis. You will support memory-impaired residents with daily activities, maintain records, and report changes to supervisors while upholding residents’ rights and dignity.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, reliability, and teamwork within a state-regulated care environment.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience with elderly residents preferred.
• Understanding of residents’ rights and privacy regulations.
• Ability to maintain accurate care records and report changes.

Responsibilities

• Assist memory-impaired residents with bathing, grooming, and dressing with dignity.
• Document and report changes in residents’ condition to supervision.
• Encourage participation in community activities and events.

Schedule: Per Diem

Salary: $16.00 - $19.50 per hour with shift differential - based on experience

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Resident Care Aide.

Resident Care Aide Responsibilities include

• Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor: evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide Education & Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification preferred or as required by law
• One year working in a care-giving capacity preferred
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required
