Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in New York, NY is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant to assist memory impaired residents with daily tasks and promote their independence. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations, documenting care records, and reporting changes in residents' conditions. Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law.
• One year working in a caregiving capacity preferred.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required.

Responsibilities

• Assist memory impaired residents with daily tasks while maintaining dignity.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding residents' rights.
• Document proper records of care.
• Report changes in residents' conditions to the supervisor.
• Encourage participation in community activities.

Schedule:

Full Time, 7am - 3pm

Salary:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience.

Shift differential also available for Evenings, Nights and Weekend Shifts

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant.

Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor: evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law
• One year working in a care giving capacity preferred
