Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant in the Albany, NY region. The role provides compassionate care to memory-impaired residents, assisting with daily tasks while promoting dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include documenting care, reporting changes to supervisors, ensuring rights compliance, and encouraging resident participation in activities. Part-time with weekend availability and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• CNA/HHA/PCA certification preferred or as required by law.
• GED or high school diploma preferred.
• One year caregiving experience preferred.
• Compassion for the elderly required.

Responsibilities

• Assist memory-impaired residents with bathing, grooming, and dressing while promoting independence.
• Maintain and document proper records of care.
• Report changes in residents' condition to the supervisor promptly.
• Encourage residents to participate in community activities.

Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience.

Shift differential also available for Evenings, Nights and Weekend Shifts

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicatedResident Care Aide/Medication Assistant.

Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence

• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights

• Maintain and document proper records of care

• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor:evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.

• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law

• One year working in a care giving capacity preferred

• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required
