Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant in the Albany region. The full-time role runs 7am–3pm with a $16.00–$18.00 hourly wage based on experience, plus shift differential for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities include assisting memory-impaired residents with daily tasks, maintaining care records, and reporting changes to supervisors. CNA/HHA/PCA certifications are preferred, with strong compassion for the elderly.

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant.

Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant Responsibilities include:

• Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Maintain and document proper records of care
• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor: evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide/Medication Assistant Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law
• One year working in a care giving capacity preferred
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required
