Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Associate to support seniors in Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will assist residents with daily tasks, aid mobility, and follow individualized care plans to maintain dignity and quality of life.

CPR/First Aid certification is required, with weekend availability and a compassionate approach. The role offers full-time employment with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow within a values-driven team focused on resident

Qualifications

• Direct-Care, PCA, or CNA certification is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain, is required.
• Flexibility to work weekends to ensure resident care.
• Ability to meet residents' physical and emotional needs.
• Uphold resident confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist residents with daily tasks while keeping the Resident Care Director informed of care changes.
• Aid with mobility using proper techniques and equipment to prevent injuries.
• Conduct routine care rounds to meet each resident's needs per their care plan.
• Assist with lifts, moves, and transport using proper body mechanics and devices.
• Perform care to maintain skin integrity and prevent ulcers by turning incontinent residents.
• Document daily care activities per policy and regulatory standards.
• Report any issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Respond courteously to inquiries from residents and staff per policies.
• Align with individualized care plans and support residents accordingly.
• Contribute observations to care planning with insights on needs and preferences.
• Interact respectfully with residents, families, visitors, peers, and supervisors to foster a homelike environment.
• Provide physical, emotional, and psychosocial support to residents and families.
• Adhere to residents' rights and report any abuse or rights violations.
• Implement safety and infection control procedures and maintain safe working practices.
• Attend required training, in-service sessions, and staff meetings.
• Maintain regular communication with the Resident Care Director.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Education

Direct-Care, PCA, or CNA certification required.
