Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant for a PT and On-call role in Saint Anthony, MN. You will provide personal care, companionship, and daily living assistance to residents in an assisted living and memory care setting.

Qualifications include six months of long-term care or assisted living experience; Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant registration preferred; and the ability to make responsible decisions in residents’ best interests.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living.
• Registered as CNA/HHA or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices in resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and companionship to residents.
• Assist residents in dining room and participate in activities.

• Complete daily documentation and care schedules.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilitie s :

• Assistresidents with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) asindicatedon the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach andmaintainthe highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assistwith treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistantobservesclientsand reportschanges in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc.tothe casemanager.
• Interactwith residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.

Qualifications :

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred)
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred)
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.
