Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a Resident Assistant in West Saint Paul, MN for PRN on-call shifts. The role focuses on providing hands-on physical and emotional care in coordination with a case manager, with duties in dining, activities, and daily support for residents.

Responsibilities include helping with ADLs, documenting care, assisting with treatments, and ensuring resident safety and engagement. Prior long-term care experience and CNA/HHA certification preferred, with benefits and shift

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to the casemanager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
• Medication Administration per MD orders and per guidelines/policy.

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):
