Great Lakes Management is hiring a Resident Assistant in St. Cloud, MN. Part-time and full-time shifts available, including early mornings, evenings, and overnight.

Pay ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, with benefits for full-time employees and options like 401(k) matching and paid time off. The role focuses on assisting residents with daily living activities, providing both physical and emotional support, and documenting care.

Qualifications

• Experience with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and resident support.
• Ability to help residents reach and maintain independence.
• Provide physical and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by RN.
• Observe residents and report changes to case manager.
• Engage with residents to provide reassurance and redirection.
• Complete required documentation daily and maintain records.
• 6 months in long-term care or assisted living preferred; CNA/HHA/Nursing Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated on service plans.
• Help residents reach higher levels of independence.
• Provide physical and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with treatments delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Observe clients and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection.

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to case manager.
• Interactwith residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
• 6 months of experience in long-term care or assisted living residence preferred but not required.
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred but not required.
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the residents’ best interests.
