Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant for on-call shifts. You will provide hands-on care, assist with activities of daily living, and support residents in a compassionate environment.

The role offers shift differentials and a 401(k) match. Experience in long-term care or assisted living and CNA/HH A credentials are preferred, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs per service plan.
• Help residents reach highest independence.
• Provide physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by RN.
• Observe clients and report changes to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance and redirection.
• Complete daily documentation, service schedule, and logs.

Skills

Resident Assistant Job Objective(s):

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands -on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. R esponsible for effectively communicating with residents, families, and notifying the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns. The Resident Assistant assist s in the dining room and participating in activities and outings .

Resident Assistant Job Responsibilitie s :

• Assistresidents with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) asindicatedon the individualized service agreement
• Help each resident to reach andmaintainthe highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assistwith treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement
• The Resident Assistantobservesclientsand reportschanges in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc.tothe casemanager.
• Interactwith residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
